Featuring corrosion-resistant 0.42-inch thick aluminum construction and a 0.125-inch thick polycarbonate face shield, the signs are secured with vandal-resistant stainless hardware. Offered in AC-only or battery back-up emergency use models, the series is available with red or green letters and single- or double-face configurations.

The product allows building owners and operators to leverage the energy-saving benefits of control devices, such as occupancy sensors and time-scheduled systems, by having these devices control emergency lighting in tandem with non-emergency lighting.

Using this feature, emergency lighting can be activated by a fire alarm or building security system. A test button is integral to the device to facilitate the system testing required by codes. AE Light, a subsidiary of Allsman Enterprises LLC, introduces the HID Powerlight PL246-S, a shorter version of its PL24/6 designed to cast light long distances in a compact form for both professional and recreational use.
The flashlight utilizes a metal halide HID lamp and electronic ballast, which produce a 1300 lumen output, while maintaining a one hour burn time. An optional high output battery is available that increases burn time to 75 minutes. The bulb has a life span of more than 2,000 hours and the battery can be recharged more than 500 times.
The product is 13 inches long and weighs 32 ounces. It accepts all AE Light lenses and accessories, and uses the same chargers.
