Trenwyth's Versatone Plus is a recycled filled and polished concrete masonry unit that is designed to provide a smooth terrazzo look for building installations. Each unit is manufactured with a moisture-resistant admixture that prevents mold and efflorescence. The product is grinded to expose the variegated coloring of the natural aggregates before the pores and interstices are filled with cementitious grout. Unit faces are polished smooth using a multi-stage process and a clear satin gloss acrylic finish is applied to provide the terrazzo-like look and enhance moisture resistance. The sealed finish is resistant to staining, abrasion, impact and chemicals. Units can be manufactured to offer up to a four-hour fire rating.
