Dan Geiger

The Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), a nonprofit organization that provides sustainability accounting standards for use by publicly listed corporations in the U.S., announced the hire of Dan Geiger as chief of market strategy. In this position, Geiger will focus on identifying the services and support that companies, investors, lawyers and accountants need to use and implement SASB standards. As executive director of the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) northern California chapter, Geiger developed the Building Health Initiative. He studied chemical engineering at University of Wisconsin – Madison and has a bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University and a master’s of business administration from the Haas School of Business. He is a founding partner and advisory board member of the Carbon Leadership Forum, and has served on SASB’s Advisory Council since its founding.
